"Sony is considering offering a premium PlayStation Network subscription in the future. The subscription offering would provide new premium features you could choose to pay for and are in addition to the features currently available for free such as access to online multiplayer gaming (current features would remain free)." According to IPSOS Online Research in the opening statment of a recent survey that is.

Cloud Storage Space sounds like it could be pretty cool, giving you a place to save your game online instead of the hard disk removing dreaded Data Corrupted screen. Also Token Wagering would be interesting as well, where subscribers are given a certain amount of tokens per month to use on PSN content and games. It would be really nice to have a one hour full game trial too, though I don't know if any of that is worth $70, $50 definently but $70? I'm not sure, what do you guys think?

This is of course not set in stone. Just a way for companies to gauge the thoughts on the community over the idea. So don't fret yet.

A major event happened today in Playstation Home, Sony released the start in it's next step of Home dubbed " mini MMO's". The new space features a massive 50 level hovercraft customizing shooter, as well as 2 smaller games " Desert Quench" and "Scorpion Stomp".

The customization for your hovercraft in the Salt Shooter game is incredible for a Home game. You can upgrade your weapons, boosters,  countermeasures and armor with all sorts of items collected by either playing the game or completing objectives given to you by the space's AI called VICKIE. You can also collect those items by trading resources ( not sure exactly what that means ) or by purchasing items from the store hubs scattered around the place.

Apparently the Salt Shooter game is only free for the first 5 levels and will have to be purchased in some way to unlock the full game but for the first 1,050 user to explore Home in the first 7 days will be selected to recieve a voucher for a full game unlock code.

The Salt Shooter game looks and plays incredibly well and is definitely a step in the right direction of great games coming to Playstation Home in the future. Let's hope Sony keeps up the good work.

Ubisoft announced today that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will ship in May 2010 for every system imaginable ( PS3, Xbox360, Wii, PC, PSP, DS, and DSi ), well most of them anyways, to coincide with the upcoming film.

The game takes place between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within where the prince visits his brothers kingdom only to find it is under attack by a devastating army bent on destruction.

The games utilizes the award winning Anvil engine and features a new ability to control nature itself while still maintaing his wonderful time control abilities, Yay! The game features huge-scale multi-enemy combat with gigantic environments to prince your way around in.

The Wii, DS, DSi and PSP will feature different experiences than thier console big brothers. As to what exactly that means? We do not know yet. Hopefully the Wii, DS and DSi versions will fully utilize the systems functionality in great ways.

With the ability to still control time and now nature, I pray this sequel will turn out better than that cel-shaded pile of crap released last year. One can dream right?
