How To Get Heavy Rain Demo (US)



Heavy Rain is a title on nearly every PS3 owners' "Must Buy" list for 2010.  If you are like me and cannot wait for the Heavy Rain Demo, then you're in luck! Even though the demo isn't due to be released in the PS Store until February 11th you can get it today.  Some of the rumors say that you must have a UK account to be able to download the demo, however rumors are rumors.  That particular rumor is completely false.  Unlike the Playstation Home Heavy Rain T-Shirt incident, the Heavy Rain demo is available for all regions, including the US.  There is one slight tip for getting the correct voucher code for the US demo.  Read the full tutorial after the break!




Note: The Heavy Rain servers are extremely bogged down today, so please be patient, and refresh the page if needed.


FIRST: Head on over to "http://heavyrainps3.com/registration/signup/en_US" in your internet browser (without quotes).



SECOND: Fill in the required registration information.



THIRD: Now point your browser to "www.Precinct52.com" (without quotes)



FOURTH: Now, remember that account on HeavyRainPS3.com we made earlier?  Well that account works for this site.  If you attempt to register a new account from Precinct52, you will find yourself in the UK registration, which will result in you receiving a UK Heavy Rain Demo Code.  So, go ahead and login with your account.



FIFTH: After you log in, make sure to click on the "Continue" button, to be taken to the dashboard.



SIXTH: You must now pick four pieces of evidence to get your code.  Obviously I am not going to leave you hangin' here.  So the four pieces of evidence you must choose are:

The Short Cigarette - 1117/B


The Origami Bird - 1117/E


The Tire Tracks - 117/H


The Diner



Finally, make sure after you add all of the evidence, you send your evidence in for analyzation.  About 30 seconds later you will be presented with your Heavy Rain Demo Voucher Code (US ONLY)

Go to "Account Management" under the PSN tab of the XMB, then scroll down to "Redeem Code". Simply type in your code there and start downloading the demo.

Make sure you followed the tutorial exactly, and have a US PSN account. If you have an EU PSN account, you must sign up at the EU heavy rain site.

omg this game is aweome!!!! to bad the demo is really short quick question is this the same demo as the one coming out tomorrow? other than that i can't wait to get the game it is really run and its like watching a movie. and kayline it did not work for me when all i did was copy the code and exit it out but then i did it again while having the code on the screen and typed it in it worked perfectly have fun and that alot Matt.
